Feed Delivery Driver
Class B CDL | Straight Truck | Part-Time / Regular Route
About Stone House Grain
Stone House Grain is a certified organic feed mill committed to regenerative agriculture and regional sourcing. We grow most of our grain on our own Regenerative Organic Certified fields and partner with neighboring farms we know personally.
Our customers are poultry and livestock farmers across the region who depend on consistent, high-quality feed. We are a small, growing operation that takes pride in every ton that leaves our mill — and we’re looking for a driver who takes the same care in their work.
The Role
Stone House Grain is seeking a reliable, experienced Class B CDL driver to deliver bulk organic feed to farm customers within a day's drive. This is a part-time route position running 2 to 3 days per week, with the expectation of same-day out and back deliveries. Routes are scheduled in advance and customers are farms, which means you will be driving to working agricultural operations, often on rural roads, and interacting directly with the farmers who depend on our feed.
This is a customer-facing role. Drivers interact directly with farm customers and are responsible for representing Stone House Grain professionally on every delivery.
Responsibilities
- Operate a Class B straight truck safely on daily delivery routes to farm customers within a day's drive of the mill.
• Complete 2 to 3 delivery days per week on a consistent, scheduled basis.
• Load and unload bulk feed accurately, working with on-farm grain handling equipment such as augers and bin fill systems.
• Confirm delivery quantities, obtain required signatures or documentation, and communicate any issues to the mill team promptly.
• Communicate proactively with dispatch and customers regarding route timing, delays, or delivery notes.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain compliance with all DOT requirements.
• Maintain a clean, organized truck and represent Stone House Grain professionally at every customer stop.
• Monitor vehicle condition — check fluids, tires, and equipment — and report any maintenance or mechanical concerns immediately.
Requirements
Must Have
• Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with air brakes endorsement required.
• Current DOT medical certification (medical card) as required under federal law for commercial motor vehicle (CMV) operation.
• Clean driving record and proven history of safe, professional driving (references required)
• Ability to operate a straight truck loaded with bulk feed, including maneuvering on farm lanes and rural roads.
• Physical ability to manage hoses, auger connections, and loading equipment as needed, and lift a 50 lb. bag of feed.
• Ability to stand, climb, bend, and work/drive outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Reliable, punctual, and self directed — routes are scheduled and customers are counting on you.
• Strong communication skills with both the farm team and customers.
• Ability to satisfactorily pass a driving record review, and pre-employment screening.
Preferred (but not required)
• Experience with farm operations and agricultural environments.
• Familiarity with grain handling equipment such as augers, bin systems, or bulk feed delivery.
• Knowledge of feed, grain, or agricultural supply delivery.
• Ability to read a delivery schedule and plan a route efficiently.
Schedule and Compensation
- Part-time, non-exempt position averaging 16–24 hours per week
• Scheduled 2–3 delivery days per week with same-day out-and-back routes
• Competitive hourly pay: $26–$30 per hour, commensurate with experience
• Overtime paid in accordance with applicable laws

To apply, please send a brief note about your driving experience and background, along with a copy of your current CDL and driving record, to careers@stonehousegrain.com. We review every application personally.
